“Brother, you’re the best!”

With a cheer, Su Qingluo, like a little chick, happily rushed into her brother’s arms.

“You must promise brother to not play too wildly and come back early.”

Embracing his younger sister, Su Zixuan asserted earnestly, “You must come back before school is dismissed in the afternoon, big brother wants to see you when he comes home.”

“Sure thing, brother, I promise that I’ll be back as soon as possible.”

Having achieved her goal, Su Qingluo grinned radiantly, her charmingly arched eyebrows looking absolutely adorable.

The Qilian Mountain Range stretches vast and imposing, harboring towering peaks reaching up to the heavens, desolate valleys untouched by human footprints, and forbidden territories teeming with life where no man has ever set foot.

Early the next day, whilst unnoticed, Su Qingluo and Little Kingfisher snuck into the deep forest.

A human and a bird stood before a precipice reaching up to the heavens. Su Qingluo took out her bamboo flute and played. The desolate sound carried on the wind, echoing deep into the forested canyon.

“Roar…’

Three mighty roars of tigers reverberated from within the valley. Not long after, three robust tigers chased after each other, diving from the cliff face.

“Tiger One, Tiger Two, Tiger Three.”

Standing in front of the cliff, Su Qingluo cheerfully waved her small hands to greet the arrival of the three tigers.

“Roar…”

The three tigers jumped onto the cliff, meekly laying down in front of her. “Tiger One, Tiger Two, Tiger Three, it’s been a long time, have you missed me?”

Su Qingluo’s fair and delicate hand patted each of the tigers’ heads in turn, soothingly caressed their necks and delighting in their soft fur.

“Roar.”

The three tigers seemed to relish her touch, extending their necks to enjoy her affectionate strokes.

When she was one year old, she followed Su Hu for a hunting trip and rescued a dying tigress caught in a trap by chance.

On a whim, she promised to look after her three tiger cubs before the dying mother tiger’s den.

The three cubs were always kept in the tiger’s den. Yin’er was responsible for their care, hunting and feeding. The young Su Qingluo would also occasionally bring meat to visit the Tiger Cave.

The bond of friendship grew between the young girl and the little tigers over their years of innocent and carefree play.

The once-small tigers were now the three huge spotted tigers before her.

“Tiger One, Tiger Two, Tiger Three, I have to go to a faraway place where a fog has not dispersed for many years. Will you take me there?”

A golden light flickered in Su Qingluo’s eyes, shooting into the foreheads of the three tigers. All three tigers understood her words.

“Roar.”

Tiger One roared and crouched down, indicating for her to climb onto its back.

“Thank you.”

Su Qingluo giggled, cutely and nimbly climbing onto Tiger One’s back, securing her arms tightly around its neck.

“Roar.”

The three tigers roared in unison. Carrying Su Qingluo, they sprang off the cliff, running and jumping swiftly across the protruding rocks, into the depths of the seemingly endless forest.

Taking turns in carrying Su Qingluo, the three tigers continuously ran for nearly a Shichen in the deep forest. Eventually, they came close to the mysterious valley permanently shrouded by fog that the Little Kingfisher had indicated.

“Roar.”

The three tigers lingered hesitantly at the foggy entrance and, appearing rather fearful, would not go any further.

“Tiger One, Tiger Two, Tiger Three, you wait for me nearby. Yin’er and I will go in and see.”

Su Qingluo jumped off the tiger’s back, comfortingly patting the three tigers, signaling them to wait there.

“Roar.”

Understanding her, the three tigers affectionately nuzzled her wrist, darting into the nearby dense forest.

“Yin’er, let’s go.”

Taking a deep breath, the petite figure of Su Qingluo soared into the trees like a wisp of smoke, swiftly darting through the branches. She was so quick it was almost impossible to see her, leaving behind a series of blurred silhouettes.

“Alright!”

Little Kingfisher, faster than lightning, flashed across the sky like a meteor. It plunged into the fog, entering into the mysterious valley..
