Everything was settled down. I even laughed at the father bastard's face. His face was frozen in surprise and just followed to be drag along with the guards. More men came as they clean the mess in the mansion.

I can say that the father bastard knows what will happen to them since he did not fight for their freedom.

Obviously, this world is just a place that the powerful can go to the peak of the world but the weak will remain at the bottom.

This is really a world full of fighting and competition. Hence, you can't complain because life is like that. You can't control every variable of your destiny since it is affected by different people's ideas and decisions.

Ellena was one of those who wants to defy those. She obviously sees it as unfair and I too. This world is just a living bomb that every time there's a competition, chaos is just near the cliff, ready to fall down to this world.

I can just sigh looking at these people. I can even become furious but I can accept it if Ellena is not affected by it.

Obviously, I'm a hypocrite and that's what mostly makes human humans. There are different ways to be called a human and that word, is created to describe a human so you can't deny it.

Ellena finally decided to join Amber and the third-generation group. Even though I want to doubt it, I can't deny it because I can't see any threats. Well, there are different kinds of threats but the threat that I want to point out is Ellena's identity.

It is also a good thing to leave this town, because of the vigilant things that Ellena did. She can't point out for that matter. And even it is sad for the people, they wouldn't know why the shadow hero stopped.

Tomorrow, a ride will come for them to go to the Lumbert County territory.

"Are you really sure about that decision?" I asked.

Ellena made a confident smile before she speaks. "I am."

Ellena started giving her farewell to acquaintances or friends in the town. From the store vendors to normal town people. She gave them thanks for teaching her how to socialize. With her smile touched in her words, every people that she talked to result in tears.

After the whole day of saying farewell, Ellena was finally talking to the last person on her list.

"I guess, that was a short friendship."

"Haha. Yeah, I will miss you, Ellena."

Selena made a bitter smile before embracing Ellena. Ellena was left stunned standing in front of the orphanage.

Every child was looking at them, which made Ellena feel embarrassed.

"Hey... it's not like I'm going to die. I can still visit you here, no."

Selena just made a chuckle. She was holding the sword that Ellena left to her. With her saddened eyes, she looked at Ellena.

"Ellena, I really want to thank you. Even right now, you still want to help the orphanage."

Well, the money that was supposed to be given to Ellena, the bag of gold, was donated to the orphanage. Talking about run-up robbery!

After the Masagach family was apprehended, they were immediately sent to court and were fined to pay for the damages they made. Even without evidence to be presented, the judge sided with Lumbert. So they got no choice but to pay up.

That money, Ellena just sent it to the orphanage. Still thinking that the headmaster was still cutting the fund, she just can't think properly about how to fix the funds.

"No, it's for my well-being too. Thanks for the support." Ellena said before she left Selena and went into the carriage.

The carriage left and Selena was just waving at the leaving carriage. On the inside, Ellena was making a lonely expression that I couldn't stop but to ask.

"Ellena, are you okay?"

"Yeah." Her voice was just limited. "I know that she'll do great in the guild."

I just didn't reply. Well, it was just a short friendship but I know that Ellena treasured it. Talk about the supports and short memories they made, who wouldn't be sad at those? They were close given at their first encounter where they almost argue.

Sighs... I hope that Ellena will learn new something today. And it is to move on. Well, I know that she already learned that but there are different types of moving on.

Isabella was just across the seat looking at Ellena.

"Big Sister?"

Ellena's attention was shifted to Isabella who was curious about her.

Sighs... this kid... Isabella, what was her childhood? She seems to be immature and can't learn fastly when it comes to emotions. I can't really comment about it since I just knew that her family was cruelly murdered by some who know people.

"Isabella? Ah... what?" Ellena was also confused.

"I just want to ask... Can I really come with you?"

"That question again. Of course, you can! You're my sister." Ellena said before she moved to Isabella's seat.

"I knew that... but your family. Aren't they scary?"

Ellena just sighed after hearing that.

"I don't know. Maybe they are, but I can't really say that."

"Okay..."

That short, meaningless conversation ended when they stopped at the mansion-like inn. Both of them stepped down the carriage then meet Amber who was wearing a flamboyant dress.

"Suit up, we're leaving right now. Apparently, an emergency happened." Amber said just after the two girls step down.

Both of them were obviously making a curious expression. "What do you mean?" Ellena asked.

"Emergency. As in, we need to suit up 'cause we have to attend a banquet."

"Banquet?" Ellen added?

"Yes. At a neighboring city, your family hosted a banquet and we're going there to recruit you sister."

What?! No way! Nope! I'm not going to think of this! Nah! Nah!

"W-why?"

"It's your sister's 12th birthday."

Oh god. Please, not this day. Don't tell me we're going to that useless family?

Well, never mind! Let's just curse these useless parents once again!
