Chapter26,Part1

Chapter 26.1. Rusty Items Are Easy To Recognize

I watch from the car as the men leave. I catch a glimpse of the face of the first man leaving. He had dark, muddy, almost brownish-gold eyes and hair. He also has a large build. He leaves with a smirk and a stupid, arrogant smile. I’ve seen that guy before. I’ve seen him in games and anime. He was much older.

That guy with the rusty crown? I see.

I make sure he’s gone completely. I’ll leave out the pattern of eyes through the window and remember him. I’m a mob protagonist, and I’ll make an unwanted connection.

Then, my mom starts the car, and we arrive at the gate. The butler is about to return to the mansion when he notices the car, smiles, and bows his head.

“Hello! I’m Takano Miu!”

I greet him cheerfully through the window.

“This is Miu-sama. We have been waiting for you.”

“I’ve come to play with Tamamo-chan!”

I stuck my tongue out. I’m Miu, the enchanting beauty.

“Thank you for your hospitality.”

My mom also bowed her head through the window. The butler doesn’t mention the argument he just had. It’s bad manners to get involved in other people’s business, right? It’s called adult socializing.

The butler led my mom to the parking lot and parked her car. Tamamo’s family is rich, and they can park eight cars. Of course, the parking lot is a garage.

After getting out of the car, I get escorted into the mansion. It’s a mansion, a mansion. There is a swimming pool to prove it, and I want to swim in it. I want to swim in the pool, but it will be the rainy season soon. Next time its summer, I’ll ask for a swim.

“Em-chan, welcome~!”

When the butler opened the front door, Tamamo jumped out and hugged me. She is a foxy girl who loves skinship.

“Haha, I’ve been waiting for you~!”

“Sorry to keep you waiting, Tamamo-chan.”

“I’ve been waiting for you!”

We spin around, holding hands, and yapping. The sight of young girls spinning around as if they were dancing is so cute and smiling that it made both my mom’s and the butler’s eyes relax.

Tamamo’s mom came to pick us up, and Tamamo’s younger brother followed behind her. He was so quiet that he glanced at me as he hid behind Tamamo’s mom’s back, and I responded with a frilly wave of my hand.

“Hello, Mii-neechan!”

“Hello, Haru-chan!”

I stare at Haru, who approaches me with a shy smile. Haru is a 7 year old boy. Even if he looks at it like this, he doesn’t look like an ordinary child. His cheeks are a little red. I see. This is the disease of magic disease.

While patting Haru’s head, I turned my head toward Tamamo’s mom.

“There were some strange people outside!”

The adults are concerned. The children are innocent. Ah, Tamamo’s mom answers awkwardly. I thought she’ll deceive me, but it seems she’ll tell me.

“That’s [Yggdrasil]. I don’t know where you heard about it, but they want our magic tool, and they’re asking us to exchange some magic tools for curing my son’s magic disease.”

I guess they intend to swindle Tamamo’s mom as well. I see. Well, I know because I heard them talking.

“Ma’am. They suggested the Elixir. You exchange one of our magic tools proposed the other day.”

The butler tells me with a bitter look.

The magic tool was an windy axe, a thunder sword, and a rusty crown. One of those, he said, to be exchanged for the Elixir. Miu)’s lucid memory even recorded the briefest conversation. Fufufu.

“So …… we need to give that much …… An Axe of Whirlwind, a Spear of Thunder, and a Crown of Clay? They gave us a lot of Elixirs before.”

It was different. Well, it was safe to say they were similar, right? Miu’s 9 years old.

But I get it. That is induction. It’s a clever induction. I’m sure Tamamo’s mom would have given him the rusty crown.

“They want an axe or a spear. If the other party is willing to give up that much, I’ll discuss it with my husband.”

“Eeeeee! Isn’t that a crown made of clay? That thing is rusty!”

What do you think? Why an axe or a spear? When Miu opens her mouth wide in surprise, Tamamo’s mom replies with a wry smile.

“You know things, Miu. The Crown of Clay has very little magic left in it. You can only use earth magic a few times a day. It is impossible to try to repair it. They may be thinking of trying to restore it, but if they find out that it is impossible, I don’t know what they will say in anger.”

She’s concerned about the rumors. Well, she’ll give the man a useless-looking crown and get an Elixir. Such a thing, she said, would be a temporary gain, but a bad thing in the future. It’s true that “Elixirs” cost 100 million yen at the store. Of course, I’m talking about a game. The reality is no different.

I guess I was wrong. Maybe the guys in [Yggdrasil] will think so too. They probably pretended to want the washing machine axe and the ramen noodle spear as dummies for the rusty crown. In the original story, [Yggdrasil] wanted the rusty crown.

I don’t think they would have thought twice about trying to give them a decent weapon for their later reputation.

It’s called being a schemer and a schemer’s trick. Really?

.

Think about it. This world is a world of fictional novels, but for the people living in it, the world is real. I don’t think the way they thought is simple. But that said, what if they are involved in the story? Real people move in a way that involves fictional movements. Because this is not the main story.

“What’s wrong, Em-chan? Are you hungry?”

Even though I was deep in thought with a dignified expression, Tamamo was terrible. I’m not a big eater. I’m a quiet and good child. That is beautiful me, Miu-chan.

“I prepared snacks for you in my room.”

“I’ll be right there.”

My face lit up with excitement. I’m still too young to have a body like this, so it is inevitable. I jumped up and down, holding hands with Tamamo, and was about to be led to her room, but.

“Wait a minute.”

I have something to do. I turn my gaze to Haru and stare. I see, his cheeks are getting redder and redder. So this is what you call a magic disease.
