Chapter28,Part2

Chapter 28.2. Mutualism

“Good morning, Tamamo-chan, Haru-chan.”

“Good morning, Em-chan.”

“Oh, good morning.”

We yawn and get up dazedly, rubbing our eyes. The maid carries us to the washbasin in her arms. Miu’s short and cute, so I easily get carried like a stuffed animal.

The water is lukewarm, which makes it easy to wash our faces, we finish brushing our teeth and adjusting our hair. The most adorable and beautiful girls were made through hard work. Do I have a sleeping habit? Have I combed my hair? No eye makeup or anything like that? Choose clothes that are clean and wrinkle-free. Of course, I’ll take care of my clothes, too.

“Em-chan, you look beautiful.”

“I take care of my appearance. You’re so pretty, too, Tamamo-chan!”

I check for any split ends and spin around in front of the mirror with a smile and a twirl. The path of a beautiful girl doesn’t take a day, you know. Make sure the ends of your hair aren’t bouncing around too.

Teko and I head into the living room with Tamamo and Haru. Good morning, I realize as I’m about to greet them.

“Papa, Mama!”

Along with Mr. and Mrs. Aburage, my parents were sitting on chairs and chatting. I think we spent the night together.

I ran and jumped into my dad with a smile on my face. Expressions of affection are necessary for a family. Skinship is important.

“You’re so sweet, Mii-chan.”

My dad stroked my head happily. I pout and move my nose twitching in an attempt to answer.

“You surprised me! You smell like alcohol!”

After taking a bath, I felt the smell of sake that could not be wiped off even when I brushed my teeth and left. That’s the end of our skinship. It’s NG for a young girl to smell like alcohol.

“Oh my goodness, honey. I told you, you’ve had too much to drink.”

“Oh, my.”

My dad, who scratches his head and looks shocked and dejected, and Tamamo’s father, who also smells of alcohol, also stink of alcohol and leave, so it seems that they drank quite a bit. Champon makes me sick. The hangover is decided.

But the heartwarming atmosphere ended there. The butler came in with a stern look on his face.

“Sir. The people of [Yggdrasil] are here.”

“…… I understand. But I cannot go. I’m sorry, but you’ll have to exchange the Elixirs for the Crown of Clay.”

Tamamo’s dad glanced at my parents and nodded slightly. He seems to have decided something. I can imagine.

The butler, with awe, took the box under his arm and went outside. I want to sneak a peek, but I’ll hold back. I don’t want anyone to know I was here. Putting aside the possibility of being found out later, I reconsidered that it would be bad if they found out what I did.

Because I have a suspicion recovery magicians might be rare.

Maybe my dad came to talk to Tamamo’s dad because I had cured Haru of his disease. I’m not so optimistic that they don’t notice, right? There are many strange things about Tamamo’s mom’s attitude and the Elixir.

I can’t help but click my tongue. I thought it was natural to have an alchemist’s mansion. I thought the adventurer’s guild had many recovery magicians. Since sports using magic tools are commonplace, I thought it was the same as the game’s setting.

However, the world uses the novel’s setting. In other words, what if the main character gets sick and gets nursed by the heroines happens in the world? Oops, there are so few recovery magicians that they can’t cure illnesses, or there are few recovery magicians who can cure status ailments.

And this is the biggest problem. Maybe there aren’t any [Alchemists]? I’m sure there are people with similar jobs, but there aren’t any [Alchemists]? Only I had the game’s setting, level system, and job system.

And then. There is no [Alchemist]. And there are no craftsmen who can make potions daily. Or the effect is so insignificant that few people can make a decent elixir. I came across that possibility. I was careless.

The butler came back with the boxed items. Surprisingly quickly.

“Is that the elixir that cures everything?”

“Yes. Yes, it’s this way. The master has asked me to give it to you. Here you go.”

“Thank you!”

The butler hands me a golden liquid in a crystal glass bottle. The butler then reported to Tamamo’s dad that [Yggdrasil] and their relationship was over, then the butler returned home without a hitch.

Right. They wanted the rusty crown, so it’s natural. They’ll never cling to the Aburages again. If the butler hadn’t handed it over, they might kill the Aburages under the guise of a robbery.

It’s worth that much.

Well, they’ll never know it’s a fake.

Now, this one.

[Appraisal]

I keep my eye out, use my skills, and stare at the Elixir. I wanted to use [Appraisal]’s a unique skill, so I changed jobs beforehand.

[Magic Mitigation Potion: Temporarily mitigates the runaway magic of those who drink it. Effective for 240 hours]

Damn it. I knew it wasn’t the real Elixir after all.

Well, the one I gave him was a fake, too. They can pour mana into it every day to awaken it. It’s just a shiny toy, though.
